|10/19/2019||Hawktober 5K||The USATF certified race will be held on the University of Hartford campus, with registration taking place in front of the entrance to the Sports Center, conveniently located between the starting and finish lines. Parking will be available in the Sports Center parking lot, with overflow parking behind the Sports Center, adjacent to Alumni Stadium.|
The event is open to the local and university communities, with both walkers and runners encouraged to participate. All registered participants will receive a Hawktober T-shirt. Prizes will also be awarded to the top male and female finishers in these seven age categories; 14 and under, 15-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64 and 65 and over.

Whether you're interested in just a 1/2 Marathon, a Marathon Relay, or completing your first 5K, we're where you want to be. Yonkers Marathon is a Boston Marathon Qualifier. This scenic 5K run starts just beyond the iconic Old Chapel near Memorial Hall and winds its way through campus. View the race map.
Walkers are welcome and prizes for age-group winners will be presented after the run. Proceeds support Campus Recreation initiatives including student training and development.
Local runners are encouraged to pick up their packets early on November 2 from noon - 7:00 p.m. at the Recreation Center to avoid waiting in line the day of the run.

Our goals are met annually through member donations and fund-raising within the community. We are not a recipient of the United Way or any other campaign. Our achievements and success are the result of the commitment and dedication of our members, as well as the generousity and support of the community at large. |11/28/2019||Commodore Hull Road Race||The Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5k Road Race offers a great, early morning run through the historic downtowns of Shelton and Derby. The race is finished in plenty of time to get to the annual Shelton-Derby football game, then on to your Thanksgiving Day celebrations. |
This popular race has become a noted and looked for Valley event every Thanksgiving and sells out quickly. The race has become so successful that the number of timed runners has been increased several times, and is now limited to 800. Registration closes as soon as that limit is reached, and no registrations are taken on race day.
Awards are presented to the first place male and female runners overall, and the top three male and female finishers in each division. Special awards go to the top three male and female runners in the High School Division.

Because one road race in Redding a year isn’t enough (we miss you!), the Redding Road Race organizers present:
The Great Turkey Escape 5K road race and 3/4 mile kids run.
Like the Redding Road Race, we will spoil our runners with a long sleeve tech shirt, an embroidered winter beanie (hat) and keepsake, personalized bibs along with 3 deep 5 year age group awards. The race begins and ends at the Redding Community Center on Lonetown Rd (RT 107) and all proceeds will stay in Redding and be distributed to The RES PTA, The Redding Historical Center and Venture Crew 777.
